What does this mean

INDICATION: Assess deep brain stimulator placement; PARKINSONS DISEASE treatment planning/surgical guidance332.0 Paralysis agitans (
COMPARISON: None
.
TECHNIQUE: Low SAR, limited axial imaging of the brain was performed without contrast per deep brain stimulator protocol. Lack of T2 and FLAIR sequences as well as lack of intravenous contrast limit sensitivity for disease.
.
FINDINGS:
. Calvarium/skull base: No focal marrow replacing lesion suggestive of neoplasm.
. Orbits: Grossly unremarkable.
. Paranasal sinuses: Imaged portions clear.
. Brain: No evidence of acute abnormality. No evidence of acute ischemia. No mass effect, hemorrhage, or hydrocephalus. Several scattered cerebral matter matter T2 FLAIR hyperintensities most consistent with sequela of chronic small vessel disease. Grossly normal flow-related signal in the major intracranial arteries and dural sinuses.

Alex is right, mine said no evidence of MS and my neuro took the CD and showed them to me………go figure

The most important interpretation is the doctors. They are looking for certain things not just general. It may be that it is normal. The radiologist is saying things look normal.

While it appears your results are normal, please keep in mind we're just patients and most of us only have experience having MRIs looking for MS, which yours wasn't. I had to google this particular protocol. It's just not the one we usually see on this forum.
