Can a T Spine lesion suddenly disappear after 13 years?

In 2006 I was diagnosed with MS and had “inactive” lesions in my brain and an “active” lesion at T10. Since 2007 I’ve had four follow up MRI on my thoracic spine. The lesion at T10 has been reported on every MRI (all 1.5) as “stable” and/or “unchanged” until the MRI I had last week which said “no lesions seen” in the thoracic spine. I have had daily and fluctuating symptoms since 2006. I’ve heard of new lesions “healing,” “remylinating,” or “disappearing” from MRI. I’ve never heard of an old chronic lesion just completely disappearing. Has anyone else? And if the scar somehow actually disappeared why would I still have symptoms?
