I am so glad everything worked out okay for you and your family. That must be a nerve wracking process! But there's no place like home!
I'm glad you made it safely through the storm. I hope your daughter has a speedy recovery, and that you and your children can enjoy a few days away from school.
We are home and all is well! During the first night of the storm my 20month old and I took a trip to the ER. She was wheesing and had a high respitory rate. I knew that she had a virus. Whe was working too hard to breathe. Afther a breathing treatment and som prednasone, we went back to my dads. She is doing better as long as she does not get too excited. I hope that our regular peds Dr is open tomorrow. The boys have off school until Tuesday. FUN!
we are keeping you in our prayers, keep us posted as you can, on your safety.
Frustrated. I have packed and mostly loaded the car. However, the lovely city school district in MS will not send my children home early. If I check them out, they will be charged with an absence. Growling...... All this stress is really not good for me.
be safe in your travels north. Check in when you can.
My oldest child turned 4 months old the day before we evacuated for Katrina. Our house was ok, but there was no power for over a week and it was over 95 degrees. We rode out katrina in a hotel on Panama city Beach!
Keeping you in and your family in my thoughts and prayers for safety and to stay out of harm's way. As a former native Miamian, I know all too well the drill for hurricanes!
We ALWAYS treated each storm as the worst it could be, filling bath tubs with water, boarding the windows, etc. I rode out several storms in my years as a Florida resident. I was lucky enough to miss Hurricane andrew but was at my parents' house with a 6 weekold infant when it hit Miami.
For all tjhose in the storm's path or potenially in the storm's path , please listen to local officaials and NOAA about evacuations and precautions!
God Bless,
ren
Thinking of you Opie... be safe! Let us know you are ok when the storm is over!

Now the predictions are moving westward towards Louisiana. Still plan on leaving. We just pulled the trampoline into the garage! I need to round up the family photoes and kepsakes, load the car and pack snacks and milk for the kids. Oh, and all the important papers are in the file box... Long night....
Wow, do not know you, but please be safe! Glad you have somewhere safe to evacuate too.
Wishing you the very best! You are in my thoughts
