I am worried, please help.

My husband, 53 yr old Southasian male, complained about a recent onset fronto-orbital headache and occassional dizziness. Done MRI,awaiting neuro appointment. MRI shows: There are numerous scattered foci of increased T2 and Flair signal in the subcortical and deep white matter of the frontal and parietal lobe, bilat, measuring upto 7 mm.
comment: Finding of T2 and flair are nonspecific but somewhat prominent for ch. sm. vessel ischaemic changes in a pt. of this age. Demyelination can't be entirely excluded although there are no foci involving the post. fossa, brainstem or corpus callosum.

Hi - i'm sorry to hear that your husband is having some problems.

Headaches and dizzyness can be associated with MS, but they usually accompany other symptoms like pronounced fatigue, walking problems etc.

The radiology report doesn't rule out demyelination (MS) but it seems to say it's not likely. Ther report indicates that ischemia, restricted blood flow, is a more likely cause of the abnormalities found on his MRI.

These results should be coupled with a comprehensive clinical exam by a neurologist. Do you have an appointment?

MRI results can take a while depending on the doctors. I didnt get my result for 5 weeks and only after I call and bugged them about it.

You have a reason to be concerned. Call and bug them for the first opening (including cancellations) avail and push for the results.
