I really paid for staying out in the cold for daughters golf

My daughter has been in the Jr Golf out at the golf course that her grandparents belong to. She has done so well. She has been playing since age 6..She"s 12 now. So last night, she had a tournament called "Glow Ball".They play 5 holes then it gets dark and they play with glowing golf balls... They take the really skilled 18-hole players, the 9-hole players and the 4-hole players and put the 3 on a team. There was about 20 teams..

So, I had PT yesterday which really kicked my butt. I mainly work on balance and a bit of muscle strengthening. I was already tired when I got to the golf course.
This Glow Ball started at 7 and didn't get over until 11pm. It got quite cold here last night..In the 50's and damp. I rode in a golf cart but was freezing! I was worried about missing my 2nd Blood Pressure pill, and my nerve pain usually starts in around 9 or 10 at night.

I should mention that I didn't  get to eat anything since breakfast. Well, by the time I was in the car headed home, my nerve pain was soo bad, I couldn't breathe. I got to the house and just "ran" into my room so I could take the gabapentin and tramadol. On a scale from 1-10, I feel like it was at least a 12. I was in so much pain, I felt almost hysterical.

The pain subsided but didn't completely go away. My heart was pounding, there was ringing in my ears, I had a headache..I still have a headache today, but I feel better. I feel like I can't attend things for my daughter because of the nerve pain.
Anyone else have this situation? Sorry to ramble...

Maybe cases like this you should plan ahead and take your medication with you and have snacks in your bag or something.

I know that I have a bottle of my pain meds in my purse as well as at my house. That way if I am out and I need to take it, I always have it with me.

I am sure seeing your daughter play is important to you, but keep in mind that you are important aslo. So just plan for days like these, to prevent this from happening.

I understand where you are coming from, my pain is much worse at night. It is always there but at night for some reason it gets worse.

Take care

No I cannot say I have experienced glow ball golf but I guess the situation you were referring to was when your sx reached overload.  I think it is important ot learn a lesson that you must look after yourself and that means not skipping meals or meds.

You must not compromise your own health.but at the same time I am sure that you wish to be able to support your daughter nand not miss out on being able to support and watch her activities.Nerve pain shd not prevent you from enjoying life and getting on so listen to your body, take your gabapentin regularly as it is better to keep a regular dose in your body rather than taking it at irregular times and first and foremost look after yourself...."you are worth it" as the advert says!!

With love
