Hello Everyone,
I'm would love to talk to anyone with Multiple Sclerosis or has these symptoms. To see what your experiences/stories were like. I need some guidance and advice.
I had my first HSV-2 outbreak in May 2008. I was tested for both HSV-1 and HSV-2. In July 2008 is when my symptoms began. It began with these sensations on my face (tingling sensations, like somethings crawling on the skin but nothings there, faint electric sensations) is how I would describe it. These sensations come and go. I went on Anti-virals at this time and when I had stopped 2 weeks later more symptoms began with the muscle twitching. The muscles in my legs began to twitch. The muscle twitching has become progressive since, they are faint to more aggressive (to where I can see the muscles move on my leg or arms). I feel the muscle twitching every few minutes to guaranteed on the hour. 90% of the twitching is below the wast and 10% is above the wast. I've felt the muscles in my face and arms twitch as well. And recently with in the last few weeks I've been feeling this internal (shaking, vibrations). I definitely feel it more when I'm sitting still and laying in bed. Along with that, it feels like the wiring in my arms and legs are bad. There's this faint electrically sparks that I feel. I guess the closes thing to describe it would be pins and needles or your foot falling asleep.
I've seen an internal that had done much blood work, my ANA test came back high. She sent me to a Rheumotologist and my general thyroid test came back normal but the specific thyroid came back a fraction high. Not enough to alert my doctor that something was wrong. My liver enzymes also came back a fraction high but he didn't think that was enough to alert him as well. I go back in 3 months to retest.
I'm going to a neurologist today to see what he will say.
I've been going through this since July 2008 (8 months) and it's been an ongoing investigation with doctors.
Please anyone that can give me advice or guidance would be appreciated. It would be comforting to speak to someone else that is going through this as well. Or someone that can tell me what to expect with my current symptoms.
Thank you for reading my post :)
