The riding is helping my attitude. my balance, my strength and my cognitive. You have to think about so much at one time it is like the MS Brain games on the computer.
I volunteer and had training with the MS Society and the LWVs and our State Employees Association. The activities at the legislature overlap.
Whenever a friend or neighbor asks for help I do. I guess that comes from being raised by a Navy Chaplain. The trick is not to over due it.
They wanted to meet with Senator Burr last week about Social Security. I had riding and therapy so I chose wisely since Burr does not give a snot.

You ROCK, Alex! I'm so happy you're doing things you love. I'm sorry you have pain, though. Maybe an adjustment in your meds, or perhaps your successes help overcome pain? Just a thought. I, too, have the opportunity to ride. I may have to follow your lead!
What great news! I am both happy for you and proud of you!
How could the rest of us get involved like you? I always feel happiest when I'm helping others - it's a win win kind of thing.
Keep up the great work
Hugs,
Erin :)
Alex,
This is SO good to hear! You are positive and you are involved in furthering the treatment of MS. You are active in one of your favorite hobbies.
You are right, life is good!!
Hugs,

Alex,
you are proof that the positive attitude can carry us far when our bodies won't. Keep up the good work on your behalf and for all of us, too.
best, Lulu
Alex,
I am so happy for you. It really helps when we can find something that makes us happy and reminds us that life does go on even with this MiSerable Disease.
Keep on smiling :)
