Rescheduled with my rheumy; not sure why

I had cancelled my follow-up appointment with my rheumatologist, as most of my tests were negative, he didn't respond to my email regarding the linear lesions on my spine, and I couldn't see spending all that time and money to be told that my tests were negative (except for my CRP and Sed rate).

I asked the scheduler to ask Dr.C. if there was a reason to have a follow-up other than to tell me results I already know (I was kind of cranky, what with all the other cr ap I was getting at the same facility), and to give me a call to reschedule if there was.

I just got off the phone with her; she said that Dr. C. says I need to be seen because some of my tests were abnormal.  She said that Dr. C. said I need to follow up with my neuro and neuro-ophthalmologist, too.  Gulp.  Could he actually be thinking NMO/Devic's?

I'd already planned on making an appointment with my neuro-ophthalmologist regarding the nystagmus and the tests that my new oto-neurologist has ordered.

ASIDE:  I just got a call from my neuro's office; they are going to release the addended (I assume) MRI reports today, and asked if I wanted them through e-mail or on paper through the mail.  I said "both, please".

The funny part was, when I answered the phone, I could hear the nurse talking to someone, and when she heard me answering, she said "Oh boy, here we go!".  She sounded nervous; I must have a reputation for asking questions and demanding answers.  I let her off the hook and didn't ask her anything, though she was one of the people that was supposed to call me and tell me what the procedure was at their office to switch to another neurologist.

It doesn't matter, since I'm going elsewhere to find a neurologist.  I'm supposed to hear from their Patient Relations Office today about the whole thing.

Back to the point of this post; would you think the rheumy wants me to follow up with him because he has new information or ideas, or just so his file is complete, or what?

???

Hmmm, I hope so!  I'll call and make the appt. with the neuro-ophthalmologist real soon, too!

Kathy,
With the shaking of the trees you have been doing out there lately I would hate to venture a guess as to why he wants to see you in person.

keep us posted,
