Just an update

I saw another neurologist today.  He very nice, and quite thorough.  He tested my cognitive abilities today, and I did a lot worse than I thought I would.  I usually only notice cognitive issues while I'm having a flare. (Except for the fact that I NEVER remember to take my meds on time- and it drives me crazy!)  The rest of the exam was more physical too.  He said that since I did get relief from IVSM, that something is definitely happening.  Also, that if it is MS, waiting for a year (like my last neuro wanted to do) was dangerous.  I am getting a 3T MRI, and another lumbar puncture (yeah!), and he is testing me for Lyme too.  He also gave me some tips for doing things safer, since my balance is so bad.  I like him a lot. However long it takes him to figure out what's going on, I already trust him- so, I'm happy.

Looks like you've found yourself a smart one.  It's good that he thinks waiting for a year is dangerous, if you do have MS.  Congrats on the 3T MRI, too.  I have, yet, to convince my neuros to let me have an MRI on the 3T (even though there's not one in our city).

Yay, Tammy! Got you a keeper! I'm happy for you :)

Sorry to hear of an addtl. LP, but maybe all was not ordered that this doc wants. I hope it's done well, and under flouroscopy.

Good news, indeed!
