Need help when to be seen - flare up or infection?

So I've been on 40mgs of pred for a week now. Today my fever went up close to 101, and has been hovering above 100 all day. It spiked up to 100 a couple of times yesterday, and I woke up more tired than I have been all week. I've been shaking a lot today, and my vision is more blurred than yesterday. There are also these little aches and pressures coming and going in different parts of my forehead and top of the head and behind the eyes.

I also have interstitial cystitis and finished the antibiotics for that a week ago. But I'm still having some symptoms there too. It just feels like a little irritation and scratchiness. A few days ago, there was an episode of cloudy urine, but I've been drinking a lot of fluids and it cleared up.

Would you go to the walk in clinic today and be seen, or would you wait until your regular doc returned on Tuesday and follow up with somebody who's familiar with your situation?

Thanks. Even my docs office doesn't want me at this point, unless I see my GP.

The blurring vision came on before the preds. They were prescribed to clear it up, which it did, but not completely. It also knocked down the fever from over 100 to bouncing between 99 and normal, until yesterday.

Something's up. I think the flare up is increasing. But my vision has improved since this morning. Just not the fever. Maybe it's hitting somewhere else now. Feeling it in the legs and girlie parts.

This is just the weirdest thing. I hope they figure it out soon.

you know that the steroids can cause blurry vision right, and can cause blood sugar increases?

What you need is a doc to figure out whats up!  That way you can get the propper treatment.

THe problem with going to a walk in clinic is you are a complicated case, with a complicated history and the doc there does not want to touch you!  They will check you over for urgent straight forward things like the flu, but that is about it.

I know from experience... I'm a complicated case too! lol

I think I will wait it out a day or two. If it goes over 101 I will go in.

Except this is my typical flare up fever pattern. Which is why I'm confused and unsure which way to read this. It does this when I'm not on the prednisone, and the prednisone was controlling it but it all worsening today.

I'm sick of going to the docs office. Ugh.
