What is the difference between MS and myelopathy?

Not really.  A local inflammation of the cord is pretty different from a demyelination of the cord.

Myelopathy is caused by either trauma or inflammation of the spinal cord.  MS is a demyelination (an erosion of the covering) of nerves in the brain or spinal cord caused by the body immune system.
