Normal Body Temp.

With recent discussions about hot drinks, and the like I got a little bit curious if others have lower than normal body temp (98.6).  I know that my normal temp for the last few years at least has been around 96.4 and wonder if that might be one of the reasons we have intolerance to heat.

Dennis

PS By the Pre and Post MS I mean if you had the lower temp before the onset of MS or not

My body temperature has been 96.7  &  I usually feel hot. The last  two months my hands and face have been extremely hot to touch. Other people can't tolerate my touch either. Body temperature goes up 2 degrees.  Had cortisone shot in thumb 8 weeks ago. Hip replacement year and one half. Also have paralyzed diaghram.

I have a low body temperature I have never had what a doctor calls a fever.

On the same token my hands are often cold they do not change color even in summer.

I have hot flashes all the time so I can't say much about body temperature. I go from hot to cold sweat sometimes every 15 minutes.

"Normal" body temperature for me is 96.7 degrees
My hands are normally very warm.
I have problems with both heat and cold.
In the Summer time, when it's hot though, I'm still freezing.
Many times, if I take a nap, in the living room, I do so with a blanket covering me.
I know, we (people w/ MS) are suppose to feel better in the Winter, but my symptoms don't know seasons, I simply have different situations to deal with. Bitter cold effects my body, just as severely as extreme heat does.

I usually run a normal temp... and I also have heat issues. They do not need to be much to cause issues either as my spinal 3T MRI caused an increase in sx.

I've always had a low temp.  It doesn't help when I tell the doctor I have a fever and he gets 98 or 99 and tells me I don't have a fever.

My husband will say I'm burning up in bed and then I check my temp and it's 97.6!

I used to have heat problems - after that bad flare in 2007.  It took about five years for my heat intolerance to go away.  I still get debilitated if it's more than a day of 80° temps outside.  My body temperature is usually around 97.6, sometimes 98° if I'm a little under the weather.  Usually I feel the worst around 99° which is classed as low-grade fever.
