We'll pray immediately for the little girl's well-being, and for the calm assurance needed by her entire family.
Praying also for baby girl and family
I'll add my prayers.
Remember that tiny babies can get dehydrated very easily and would need rehydration much sooner than an adult would. In addition, young infants don't have the immunity that older children and adults do, so they are taking her infection seriously, and treating her. I'm sure Quix could say more, but, even though you don't have all the details, it sounds like they are treating her illness. That's a good thing!
Let us know how she is doing.
prayers for your grand daughter and your whole family. And a few extra ((hugs)) for you!
I'm so sorry for this emergency and the memories it's bringing back for you. I'm keeping your whole family in my thoughts.
Thanks for all of your prayers and good thoughts,
I just got an update, actually it was a message that was sent the other day that facebook bounced so I didn't get it until now.
This illness started over the weekend. Daphne had green BM but otherwise seemed fine. Her doctors did a lot of tests including a LP with everything coming back normal.
But then yesterdayevening it turned into bloody diareha at which point she was rushed to U Mass childrens hospital by ambalence which is a good 3 hours from where my daughter lives. Late last nigth the doctor got back some culture from the day before that were positive but I have no idea of what they were of.
I have never heard of anything like this before so it has me freaking out even more.
Quix if you read this would you have any ideas as to what they might be dealing with?
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers, I sorry this brings back bad memories and I hope your granddaughter is on the road to recovery soon.
Hi, sorry to hear abouth this... but the best place is right where she is.. just like Steph said keeping her hydrated is the best...
I will join the others and pray for her to get better..
Dennis, I can't help with answers but will sure keep this baby in my thoughts. Keep us posted.
hugs to the grandpa, too. Lulu
Your granddaughter, and your entire family, are in my thoughts and prayers.
The "unknown" is the most difficult evil, any of us face.
But the known is, that she is in God's hands, and He will shield and protect her from harm, and He will give the doctors, nurses, technicians, etc. the knowledge they need to heal her.
I can tell you, that it's very common for newborns to return to the hospital, for one reason or another, and the hospitals are well prepared for this possibility.
Take care and God bless,
You've got my thoughts and prayers too. I hope things go well for your granddaughter and all of her family. Stay strong, we're here for you.
I'm so sorry you are faced with this. I hope and pray your wee granddaughter is ok. Sending hugs to you Dennis and keeping you and your family in my thoughts.
