Stopping in to say hi!

As you all know I have had a lot on my plate lately. It has been a ride to say the least.

My knee had been bothering me for about 2 weeks after my knee gave out on me, when I finally got to the point that I could barely put pressure on my leg I went to get it looked at and they told me that it could be a slight tear in my ligament and they put me in a knee brace and told me to follow up on Monday.

Monday comes and I first had an appointment with my neuro. He asked what happened and I told him. He asked why I didn't call his office and I told him I didn't think about it because there isn't really anything he can do for me. He said that if it keeps happening (my knee giving out) then I need to contact him, so that he can order physical therapy or whatever he can to help stop my knee from giving out.

Then later in the afternoon I started on my way to the doctor to follow up with my knee. On my way a car pulled out in front of me and it totalled my car. Mom and I are ok. My back is a bit sore and am on mucsle relaxers for that. Doctor told me that I may need some physical therapy.

All this in the week that I am moving, so waht a week I have had. I am finally in my new place getting it together a little at a time, taking it as easy as I can. It has been one heck of a ride for me and I am truly hoping that it will all settle down soon.

Still waiting to hear from the ladies insurance about my car. The guy to towed me said that it is gone. It will cost more to fix than to replace. I have called the insurance company and left a message with the adjuster working the case but she has yet to return my call.

Now my pickle is that I don't have a car to get to school and I live much further from school now. I sometimes just want to give up but I can't do that. I will get it all together again soon but I just wanted to update everyone as to how I am doing and want to wish everyone well.

Take Care,
Paula

Thanks guys,

I said I want to give up but that I can't do that, so don't worry I am not a quitter and never will be :)

Once I get everything organized in the new place I will have time to just settle down and relax, hoping it comes soon but like I said in my first post I am doing it a little at a time.

Seems as though everything is in a downward spiral but I know it will get better eventually and I am looking forward to when that happens.

I agree that it is great that me and my mom are not seriously injured and are still breathing :).

I am a tough person and I will succeed through this it will just take some time and I can only take it one day at a time. Like I always say when life throws you lemons, bring out the tequila lol. Ok so I don't drink but it sounds good right!? lmbo

HI Paula,

I am sorry to hear about all the stuff piled high on your plate. I'd add something encouraging here but JJ beat me to it. She said exactly what I would have told you.

I am very glad you were not injure seriously and PT can do wonders for you . Now, the insurance company from the other driver can pick up the tab. they should also offer you a free rental car until the claim is settled.

I do hope things improve for you!!! Take care of yourself and hang in there.

Gentle hugs,
Ren

Paula,

You've been having a bad time of it lately, none of it was your fault or from goals beyond you, so stop this idea of giving up will ya!

Look at all the good things that happened......

1) you moved into your new place, hard work but you did it successfully.

2) your neuro cares about you and wants you to contact him even if it seems unrelated, thats a huge bonus gf not many out there give a toss.

3) PT will be good for you, and you were just told you needed PT for your knee so whilst your there you might as well have a full tune up.

4) you didn't die or get seriously injured, say no more!

5) your mum didn't die or get seriously injured, ditto!

6) it wasn't your fault, so there was nothing you could do to change the out come.

7) no one at all died or got seriously injured, wow!

8) the other driver was insured and that was bloody lucky in todays economic climate.

9) your car can be fixed or replaced and people can't!

10) it could of happened to anyone!

Dont forget gf, that you've been thrown off your compass by all this and your suppose to feel like crap for a while BUT it will get better when the dust settles because thats suppose to happen too. Be nice to your self for a while, dont give up on anything or you'll regret it later, just each some chockie or ice cream and focus on having some fun until you feel better about it all.

HUGS................JJ

Oh Paula..it never rains but it pours. I am sooo sorry to hear about your accident and just can't beleive how unlucky you have been having a car accident and now being without a car.

But the important thing is that you and your Mom were not too badly injured and at the end of the day it is a right frigging pain that the car is a write off, but it is a pile of metal and I am sure you will be grateful that it was not you that was written off instead.

I hope that your new home brings your happiness and that things quieten down for you.

Love and hugs
