OT What to call it

For years I have been cooking, and coming up with new and / or improved recipes. They recipes range from things like my "All Beef Sun Chili" (the sun is in there because I have to cut back the spices by 75% so that others that like spicy food can even eat it.), to German Chocolate cake that people make up excuses (my daughter got a "C" in math) to get me to make it.

Well today I made up a new desert and have no idea of what to call it. Any Idea? (It is really good)

It is a pie and I make a Nilla Waffer crust with butter, nilla waffers, and sugar which I bake for 30 minutes. Once the crust has cooled I pour in chocolate Pie filling mixed with fresh sliced strawberries. Some more sliced strawberries adorn the top of the pie after I put a light coating of Nilla Waffer crumbs on top. I the drizzle the top of the pie with Chocolate syrup.

So far I have thought of calling it:
Chocolate Strawberry Pie
Strawberry Chocolate Pie
Cocolated Covered Strawberry Pie

Dawn,

No luck with friend/neighbors. They have been looking for Rhubarb plants as well. I have a feeling that no one in my area likes rhubarb as so there are no plants to be had. We also have not been able to find any acorn squash around here. There was one place that had it, but they sold out early this year.

My friend Dave is having a fit this morning. He planted about 1/4 acre of sweet corn this year. Last night just before dusk he checked his corn and 1000's of small plants were starting to peek out from the soil. Then this morning he checked again and not one plant was left. During the night raccons went down every row and ate everything. about 2500 corn plants wiped out which he had planted by hand over a 2 day period. Luckily my Veggie garden has not been touched so far.

Hey Dennis have you check around with any of your neighbors?  If they have a rhubarb plant I'm sure they'd be happy to give you a starter off of it.  If you've planted it before remember it will return it's a perennial and it will grow back each year.

How about Scrumptious Strawberry Chocolate Decadence?

Or how about Strawberry Chocolate Delight?

Or Summertime Choco-Berry Pie?

Or You can't eat just one pie.

Thanks for all of the suggestions.

So far I am leaning toward either Lulu's or Rendean's names. Though I think I would change Rendean's to Strawberry Chocolate Decadence.

As to heart attack tart, I don't think this pie would be that bad. I use the Nilla Wafer crust because it uses less sugar than a graham cracker crust. I also use low fat milk for the chocolate filling. And Strawberries are really good for you.

But I do make a pie that has the subtitle of heart attack. It is any of my Cheesecakes. They are so light, fluffy, and delecious that I always sit down and eat a whole one at one sitting. It consists of my standard Nilla wafer crust with the filling made of 24 Oz of cream cheese, sugar and cool whip. I whip up the cream cheese real good before adding the coolwhip which makes it so light and fluffy. I make lots of variations of it including, cherry, blueberry, strawberry, banana, chocolate, and red white and blue for the forth of july.  I have been trying to figure out how to thin out some hot  fudge for flavoring as I want to try a fudge rum cheesecake.

I have one other pie I have wanted to try out but will probably have to wait until next year. I'm sure most of you have heard of or had Strawberry Ruhbrab pie. Iwant to try a blueberry ruhbarb pie but was not able to find any ruhbarb to plant this year. I have 15 strawberry plants and 3 blueberry bushs planted this year so next year I should have plenty of them for cooking.

I like Chocolate Covered Strawberry Pie; simple and to the point.  Once someone has tried it, they'll know all the special touches, and ask for Dennis' or Your special Chocolate Covered Strawberry Pie.  Yum!

Years ago I made a pie using a graham cracker crust.  I'd mix up some strawberry/banana jello, let it set up almost all the way, then fold in some whipped topping or whipped cream and sliced fresh strawberries and bananas, sometimes finely chopped walnuts, and let it set up. It was a good spring/summer pie.

I love chocolate, though, so your pie would be my favorite!
