Mixed but mostly good news

I had my CT scan and no real changes. My tumor is a little bigger but not like last time when it grew six times. My blood marker went from 420 to 425 which is not good it should go down by 100 at least. Good news I can keep my hair for Xmas. I will go on a stronger chemo and lose it in January but at least I like good for the holidays. I am really fed up with chemo. Today I had no patience, but I hid it well with the staff. I just wanted to go home. I had labs where the accessed the port in my chest to get blood. Then I had a CT scan. They used the port. I had to get them to tape the tubing so it does not swing to my waist. Then we waited a long time for the doctor. I got a young doctor. She had a bad bed side manner and physically she hurt me with each exam. She pinched my skin in this pliers like instrument. Then we went to chemo. While I was getting chemo the lady across from me was having her last chemo she is in remission. She was celebrating. I am happy for her but why can't I have a remission and a break from chemo.

I know there are MS situation worse than mine and cancer worse than mine. I am very lucky to have my friends and family I have. Also to have a world class cancer hospital 20 minutes away. I am still here celebrating another xmas with my hair.

Hi Alex, I applaud your honesty and wish a remission and chemo break for you ASAP.

Awesome news about keeping the hair for the holidays. We ladies find these things most important. A girl has priorities! :)

Hugs and best wishes for a happy holiday,

Corrie

Here's hoping the next remission you report will be yours! New chemo, New year!
As said before,  if it's hurting, uncomfortable or unpleasant,  make them aware,  all the better for you! & in the long term,  them too.
Enjoy your Christmas with your family.
Take care.

I know you were trying to be nice and not make a fuss, but what you needed to go through was bad enough and the only way young doctors etc learn to be better is to tell them. She shouldn't be hurting you, that's rubbish and I felt for you.

Wish your results were better, you are always so stoic with all your troubles.

Hope you have a very Happy Hairy Christmas xx

Not sure why part 1 of my post shows 2x and the rest has gone missing (2x). Short version after the great hair day wishes is that I'm sorry the results weren't quite as good as you were hoping. Like sailorsong, I'm praying for your remission to come soon!

That is great about no hair lose. I hope with the New chemo in January you will be able to report a remission.
