Results from Brain MRI

Well, even though I sometimes doubt there is anything in my head but mush, it appears that there is a brain in there after all.  And besides that, it should be in fine working order!

The report stated, "Flair and T2 imaging demonstrate no areas of abnormal signal within the white matter to suggest a demyelinating process"

Well, looks like I'm still a charter member of limboland.  Guess the spine MRI will be next, who knows.  I'm just going to take everything as it comes and pray for a dx.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Hugs

DONI,

HANG IN THERE, YOU CAN HAVE 1 MRI AND 10 RADIOLOGIST AND THEY CAN ALL HAVE DIFFERENT REPORTS.

THE NEURO SHOULD READ THEM,SO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE COPIES OF THE MRI'S WHEN YOU SEE THE NEURO.

PLEASE GET COPIES OF ALL TEST RESULTS AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE COPIES OF THE MRI'S FOR YOUR PERSONAL USE.

I HAVE A BINDER THAT HAS ALL MY MRI REPORTS IN IT,ALL THE TEST I'VE BEEN PUT THROUGH.

SWEETIE, I JUST HAD AN ORBITAL MRI OF THE BRAIN,DONE LOCALLY ON A T1 MRI FOR THE REOCCURRING OPTICAL NEURITIS,IT STATES THE OPTICAL NERVES AND EVERYTHING ATTACHED TO THE EYES ARE FINE.

JUST HAD A NEW VISUAL EVOKED POTENTIAL TEST ,4TH ONE AND IT CAME BACK ABNORMAL WITH GOOD WAVES. RIGHT EYE P130 AND THE LEFT EYE WAS P187. WITH THE VEP TESTING THE P SHOULD ONLY BE 115 OR LESS.

MY POINT IS MRI'S DON'T PICK EVERYTHING UP.SOME WHERE THERE'S LESIONS THAT AREN'T SHOWING ON THE MRI'S SO THIS IS WHERE THE EVOKED POTENTIALS COME IN.

I TOLD MY NEURO TODAY,NO MORE VISUAL EVOKED POTENTIALS, THE FIRST ONE NORMAL (2006), SECOND ONE RIGHT EYE 130 , LEFT NORMAL(EARLY2007),THE THIRD ONE (DEC. 2007) RIGHT EYE 130 AND THE LEFT EYE 147 AND THE NEW ONE WAS DONE THE OTHER DAY RIGHT EYE 130 AND THE LEFT 187.

SO HANG IN THERE, I KNOW THATS HARD TO KEEP HEARING.

YOUR DRS. ARE LISTENING SO THATS A START.I PRAY THIS IS A GOOD NEURO AND HE KEEPS SEARCHING ALL AVENUES.

YOU HAVE ALL OUR PRAYERS AND SUPPORT

HUGS

DONI,

I WAS HEADED TO BED BUT SEEN YOUR POST.

DON'T GIVE UP.  MY MRI WAS CLEAN,WELL EXCEPT FOR THE ATROPHY AT FIRST,IN THE LAST 5 MONTHS MY MRI WENT FROM MANY MULTIPLE SMALL OVOID LESIONS TO SEVERAL LARGE ONES.

MAYBE I PUT THAT WRONG,NOT TO SCARE ANYONE,THIS IS WHAT HAS PROGRESSED.

MRI MACHINES ARE NOT POWERFUL ENOUGH TO PICK UP DEEP WHITE MATTER LESIONS.HOPEFULLY SOON THE TECHNOLOGY WILL BE THERE.

MY POINT IS LISTEN TO YOUR BODY.

DONI,DID A NEURO READ YOUR MRI'S OR WAS THIS THE RADIOLOGIST REPORT?

SWEETIT, KEEP THE SEARCH UP,IT'S FRUSTRATING AS HEY-DEY,WHEN TEST COME BACK NORMAL.I'VE BEEN THERE.

YOU HAVE A DR. NOW THAT IS WILLING TO DO THE TEST,HANG IN THERE. WE ARE HERE FOR YOU.

HUGS AND PRAYERS

I feel ya man! It is frustrating. I'm new to this forum and I went through tests about six year ago. Nothing was found and I gave up. I'm getting new hope from the people here. I just posted a question about whether or not I should start the process over of trying to find out what is wrong with me. I guess I'm in limbo land too. I'm sure they will tell me to continue on the quest for a dx. Don't give up! You don't want to be living in limbo six years later without a clue as to what is going on.
Hang in there,
Bonnie

well,i'm not having a very good day, but i still can encourage you! I am a limbolander too!
I haven't been to a nero for about 16 months, but will be seeing one at the end of this month.
We tend to get our hopes up, put our eggs all in one basket with testing don't we?
But its "we" who know for sure theres something very wrong with our crazy acting bodies.
I'm glad they found your brain though!
have you had a spine MRI yet? I hope that one holds you some clues.
I'll  join you in prayer for the both of us, and all in limboland.
