Spasticity and Botox

My spasticity has gotten so bad that it is really affecting my walking. I am on the max dosage of Baclofen and am looking into alternatives.  Has anyone had Botox as a treatment?  How are you all that also suffer from this handling it?   Help!

I've had no experience with Botox for spasticity, but I have friends who have had it for their bladders, and it's quite effective.

Your neuro may talk to you about the Intrathecal Baclofen pump, a little devise that pumps Baclofen directly into the thecal space in your spine.  With this, a smaller dose of Baclofen can be given without all the side effects, and the drug gets right to where it needs to be.  I know folks who have them, and they were scared, at first, of the idea of a tiny catheter going into the Dura in the spine and living there.  But the relief they got was so worth it!  I'm curious as to what your neuro may suggest.

Waiting to speak with neuro.  do not want the pump.  No desire to have something permanently in my spine and having to walk around with the pump.  Especially hard to hide under clothes etc... and my ms is Not public knowledge...we shall see what he says
