Thank you everyone,
So nice to know I have been missed. I am getting into a routine so I should start coming around more. The juicer idea sounds good but I am going to stick with Weight Watchers for now because it is teaching me how to eat and will help with my maintaing when I do finally reach my goal. Hopefully it wont take forever but if it does then it does. I have to do what is right for me and losing weight is at the top of that list.
Missed my family here and glad to be back!
Paula
Yay, Paula! I'm so glad life is working out fairly well for you. And doesn't grandparenthood rock?
I did WW back in 2003 and reached my goal weight in 9 months, and have managed to keep it off ever since! It can be done.
Here's to living well with this MonSter!
Paula!!!
So good to hear from you!! it sounds like things are finally falling into a nice rhythm and you are doing well, comparatively :-).
Congratulations on the weight loss!!! Yes, WW is a very sound and healthy way to lose weight. No extremes , just balanced healthy diet and food.
Lisa's juicer diet has all the nutrients please more than anyone could need. If you need a bump up...start juicing!
Don't be such a stranger! You have been missed. Your posts are always insightful and helpful.
Come around more often!

Hey there,
Just a little bit ago I was thinking I need to drop a note that I'm still here as well.
I just don't have the energy to respond and type.
take care...check back with us soon! =)
YOU'RE ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU'RE ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank god :P
Glad you made a pitstop here at our wonderful forums!
Missed you terribly!
I have to say, my boyfriend who suffered from a MI (heart attack) in 2005 and was status post 7 stents placement, quit smoking and gained until 4 months ago a weight of 258 pounds. He walked around like that for years. Finally he watched this movie called "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead" its on Netflix if you have it and it inspired him to eat more healthy. He made me watch it and after that I emptied out our pantry and refrigerator and went shopping for vegetables while he went and got the Breville Juicer. He makes a 2 quart pitcher of juice (including kale, carrots, sweet potato, celery, cucumber, ginger, garlic, lemon, lime, red cabbage, asparagus, apples (green), pears (bartlett), etc.) and drinks it through out the day. Then at dinner time its either salmon, tuna steak, tilapia, boneless/skinless chicken breast with organic vegetables cooked (steamed or wok'd) and a salad with fat free salad dressing and low sodium. He incorporates yogurt (greek - chobani 0% plain yogurt) with blueberries and organic granola for snacking, cooked shrimp, bananas, grapes, all those wonderful fruits (papaya). Soy milk, unsalted peanuts, almonds, soy nuts, tofu, whey protein and oatmeal.
He is now at 201 in four months. Amazing isn't it? He feels better and some medications he was on he is no longer on anymore :D
I'm glad to know you're doing well and I hope that you have a wonderful thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas!
xxoo

Thank you Alex,
I am on Weight Watchers which is keeping me going. It is aprogram I would recommend to anyone. Thank you :)
Paula
Paula sounds like you are hanging in there. It took me a few years to drop the first forty pounds. My body would not budge at some points. Sounds like you are doing well with it. I am proud of you.
Alex
Jen,
Thank you, it feels good to be doing well finally.
Beth,
Thank you, always nice to know someone is thinking of you :). Still have a long way to go in my weight loss journey but I am going to keep at it :)
Lulu,
Thank you :) I do stay on top of the hygiene with the incontenence. I bought wipes that I use regularly to keep me clean. As for the rash, it seems to be getting better since I switched to Stayfree, the Always I was using was tearing me up.
Take Care,
Paula
Congrats on the weight loss- that is terrific. Same with the school progress.
Be sure to stay on top of the hygiene with the incontinence and if the rash continues don't hesitate to see your urologist for help. Don't let that get worse.
Don't be a stranger, ok?
hugs,
L
Hi, Paula.
Yours was a name that came to me when lately I was mulling over those who have been missing from the forum. I am glad to know you are doing well.
Good for you on the weight loss. It does make things much better when the poundage is lessened. I knew I had lost weight because my pants were falling down when I stood and I was down a size in shirts, but the measley 3 pounds my doctor's scale stated must be wrong. I will stay at it, too. We can encourage one another.
You know we will be here when your schedule slows, and you are ready for a chat.
Beth
Hey, Paula! Glad to hear you're doing well.
