Another thanks from me Mrs A, lol i have 6 of the 8 listed and that isn't counting my other more common MS issues lol no wonder i'm weird ;0

Uncommon sx of MS:
pg1) intro
pg2) Vertigo - only during relapses
pg3) Speech - daily articulation and other vocal weirdness
pg4) Swollowing - but i'm more chew issues
pg5) Itching - 2 patches on face nothing relieves it when it hits
pg6) Hearing - NO
pg7) Tremors - yep all the time but they get worse with activity
pg8) Sexual dys - loose sensation, heat int. & spasms don't help lol
pg9) Headaches - NO

ROFL i didn't actually know that 'all' of these sx were classed as 'uncommon' but thats probably because here on this forum, there is always someone who understands your sx's. I also suspect lack of reseach may play into common vs uncommon too, lol its only resently that cognitive issues in MS has changed to a common sx.

Cheers.........JJ

I have 3 issues listed there -
Itching - on my scalp.  A warm shower is what gets it going!  I keep the water at a comfortable temperature, but I'm careful not to make it too hot.

Swallowing - Liquids, mostly.  They either go down the "wrong pipe", or I inhale my saliva, or I swallow and it goes up to my nose!  I've learned to not talk while I'm eating, and to tilt my head down, and slightly to the left to make sure stuff goes down the right way.

Hearing - Sometimes I'll have a couple of days where people's voices sound like a bad cell phone connection, or single side band on HAM radio.  My neuro is aware, but isn't sure what to do about it.  This started last summer.

I haven't been diagnosed yet, but I do have migraines a lot, fatigue, dizziness, choking on liquids occasionally but not all the time,  occasional ringing in the ears(more lately), hand tremors for several years, etc.  Of course these could all be caused by something else but that is a very interesting article.  I have seen similar information on other sites.

I have SPMS. For me, the minor sx are my everyday sx; things like tinnitus, bladder issues, ED.

The big guns, gait issues, fatigue, double vision (caused by nystagmus) etc. are relapse related. I did have the itch issue in conjunction with my second relapse, 3 years ago. It did not recur with my third (most recent) relapse last summer.

Thanks, Mrs. A - that is an interesting list of these lesser recognized symptoms.  Of course around here we try not to attribute everything to our MS but know that is always a possibility.

thanks for sharing,
L
