Should I be in this much pain

Hi All

Monday just gone i had my last IV infusion, Sunday night before my last treatment, the top half of my body was so sore, like my neck chest, arms, and getting in the shower having the water touch my skin was sheer agony, it is now Wednesday and two days since my last treatment, and i still cannot get in the shower the pain is too intense, even trying to keep clothes on, is painful,

I thought the pain may have come from a fall i had on Sunday evening, i did not really hurt myself, except my knees, but I did go down hard,

Is this pain a normal re-action from 5 days treatment, or could it be the fall, i have noticed too that i am not knowing when i want to go to the bathroom, and find i have started to go, which is pretty embarrassing,

Overall My Balance has improved, I just get the occasional sway type sensation that does not last long, though the back of my head and neck are now numb, I don't get the severe cramps i was getting every night,

Should I just wait this pain out, or is there something i can do to help myself ease it a little

Thanks
Tyler

Hi Lulu54

Thanks, I will check it out with the doctors office tomorrow, I did not want to end up looking like an idiot, calling the doc, if this was kind of a normal re-action

To be honest i would never have thought that skin could be so darned sensitive, this is agony,
My husband thought it might be the fall, and so did I, so never paid it much mind, thinking oh i will get over it,
but i know that being in a shower and almost screaming out with the pain is pretty abnormal, normally once in the shower, you cannot get me out of it, tonight i was like a cats lick, and air dry, could not stand the towel on my skin,

but will now check it out in the morning,

thanks again

Tyler, You definitely should not be in pain from the steroid IV's.  Please call your doctor first thing in the morning - hopefully you can catch someone in the office to discuss this with.  I hate to see this linger for you through Christmas and the weekend.

You could be in pain from your fall, but that the shower hurts or to wear clothes is painful sounds like something else.  What that might be, I can't guess.

No, don't wait the pain out.

feel better,
Lulu
