Tinnitis

I have had some facial pain that is followed by itching since my little relapse a month ago.

In the last 24 hours, I have had an increase in feeling and/or hearing muscle twitches in my ear canal. I have also had repeated bouts of ringing and "noise" that blocks out the sound in my hearing.

I also woke this morning and at some point felt my entire face cringe (without a reason) like a single spasm.

Do these go together? It bites then goes away. It's sharp but so quick that it doesn't make it horrible. IF it lasted like than a split second then I'd be in trouble.

Are the TN and Tinnitis cranial nerves close together? Anyone know? Thoughts?

Thank you two! I'm drawing a list of questions for my new neuro. I'll probably update this when I get answers in a month or so. :)

I am glad you brought this up too... I get the "Oh My God , I'm deaf" moment in my ear followed by the high pitch sound, " morse code" clicking, fluttery sound in my left ear. I get deep inside the ear canal pain,(no ear infection) happened in right ear twice and just recently in the left ear.

I too get the face pain that shocks for less than 10 seconds, but it comes and goes and can become excruciating, but thank god it doesn't last long. I get it mostly on the left side of my face, but have also had the pain on the right side  as well.

I wish I could help answer your question, I just wanted to share with you that I get the exact same thing.

Hugs,
Pam

No I can't help but I am so glad you brought this up. I have been having sharp pains and also just a constant aching pain in my left jaw. I am not sure if it is the start of TN or just my silly allergies playing havoc on me.

Hope someone chimes in and gives you some answers.
