Quix--pain in head around ear

Hey, sorry this might not be MS related.  I started having an aching pain (not a HA) in front of my left ear (same side I have been going numb on since Oct.).  When I look at an anatomy picture it appears to be the superficial temporal artery (I am still having facial numbness as well as throat numbness)  I have been taking verapamil for about a week on the recommendation of the MS specialist (he thought this was more vascular in nature)  Any comments would really be appreciated.

Hey thanks.  It does hurt in that area in the picture where the TN is the biggest.  That makes me feel better anyway (I really HOPE this isn't vascular).

Sounds like trigeminal neuralgia to me.  I've had pains in the left side of my face, from the ear to the chin, for some time now.  Sometimes it feels like a headache in my chin, sometimes like a pinprick or electric shock.
