I'm worried about a couple of people

I haven't seen a post from Quixotc1 or Sumanadevii for a long time.  Does anyone know if they are ok?  Based on some of the old posts and journal entries- I think there may be cause for concern.

I hope everyone in question are OK... or doing the best possible for them.  I can relate to their disappearance as I disappear frequently, life in general occupying my time.

"We've kicked this around before and I would hope that everyone here has made at least one personal connection outside of the forum, so that word could be brought back here if there was a serious change in status."

...being aware first that we should always ask a persons permission before posting anything about them we know through private communication.  Individual privacy needs always trump desires of the community.

That said it is very difficult to get to know people and care about them and suddenly realize they have been out of touch for way too long.  It is however, a sign this is a community and not just a drive-through information station.

I too hope those we haven't heard from are reading on occasion but out there enjoying some of the good things life still offers us.  And I do hope they drop in from time to time for a howdy and hug.

We've kicked this around before and I would hope that everyone here has made at least one personal connection outside of the forum, so that word could be brought back here if there was a serious change in status.

This forum can't be all things to all people, and I find a cycle of people coming and going.  We serve a great purpose to those who are looking for answers or newly diagnosed.  Once they get comfortable living with a chronic disease, the easier it is to get back into the normal rhythms or life and there is less need for the support here.

I always like to think that these absences are a good thing, rather than signs of a problem.  But it is always exciting to see old familiar faces pop through and share an update with us.  So if you're lurking out there and see this, please do let us know what's going on with you and your life.

be well, Lulu

I hope they do see this post, and at least say hello.  We miss them.

No worries.
Quix, as you may know contends alot with her MS, and while I miss her so much too - know it's best she focus on herself now. She's helped so many others over her years here.
And not sure of Suma, but people come and go here alot. I'm not sure about Addie either - she's been dealt alot, but she does pop on from time-to-time.
I'm sure if they see this the shout out, they will be glad they were thought of :)

Absent isn't necessarily a bad thing, from time to time our regulars take breaks for various reasons, obviously our people have medical issues but sometimes its just 'life' taking up their free time. A lot of people still read the forum but dont have time etc to post, but often they are still basically around. I like to think that absent friends are some where out there, living their busy lives, happy and coping very well with out us but they'll come back when they can.

Cheers...........JJ
