What are you grateful for?

I was thinking about gratitude and how much it helps me.
1. My husband of 19 years.
2. The forum
3. My brother and his wife
4. My friends
5. My two deaf dalmatians. One who was my service dog for many years. My foxhound who is a goof ball.
6. Riding Clara my friend's horse.
7. My writing coach
8. My art work and singing as well as Music and Art
9. Spring and flowers
10. The beach and the Mountains
11. Having gotten to go to Europe last year.
12. My bucket list Visiting Utah and all the parks, riding in a biplane, Gettysburg and other Civil War sites, other things to come.

I am grateful for:

1) My 2 cats, even though they are as high maintenance as I am and cost a fortune in vet bills/at home maintenance. Their affection and happy sounds are a source of joy.

2) My friends who are always there when needed and still invite me to do things "if energy level is good".

3) My physiatrist. I cannot rave about this woman enough. She is someone I trust above all other medical professionals on my team and genuinely cares about all of her patients.

4) My newfound ability to say "no" when I don't want to do something or don't have the energy/time to do something.

Good topic.  I am thankful for:

1.  Folks who go first, pave the way, then mentor others, giving them a chance to do the same for others, whether it be spiritually, medically, or whatever.
(Thank you for your part in that).

2,  Music.

3.  A full and colourful life, even when it isn't going as planned, and the people and relationships who make it so (family and friends and pets and neighbours and cool random interactions with complete strangers).

4.  Time outside, even if I can't access the outside like I used to.  All the greens and browns and greys and blues and textures and smells that makes my heart sing.

5.  Only one regret: my career choice.  Wanted to take a risk and didn't. My health history would look  much different had I switched things up.  Still, over a lifetime one regret is pretty decent.

6.  Oddly, I'm thankful for the ability to feel grateful -- I find it easy and even when things are hard, I've learned to choose to turn that direction.  Perhaps this is intertwined with faith ... for which I'm most thankful.

Thank you for making us think, Alex.
