brain mri

hi on a brain mri for ms with ms protocol is the brain stem not imaged?

no i only had the brain imaged.

Brain MRI has brain stem. The do not necessarily do a C-spine unless your neurologist asks for it. Your Neurologist can tell by the neuro exam reflexes etc. pretty much where the damage is. Even my PCP knew I had brain stem involvement from a basic neuro exam.

I probably have spinal lesions since I have PPMS but I have never had a neurologist do a spinal MRI. Personally I do not want to know if I have spinal lesions do to the"NO Placebo affect" meaning bad news could really depress me and there is nothing I can do about them.

Brain stem involvement does not bother me I have had that for forty years and your brain can take other path ways.
