burning mouth/tounge

Was wondering if anyone exp. any problems with burning mouth/tounge.  I chew gum
to avoid the dry mouth when im able, and drink plenty of water, but at night i get burning
in my mouth/tounge.  I also have a white patch on my tounge that i have had for a few
years, seems to come and go.  My dentist had it biop. and it came back normal.
Just wondering if this should be anything
i should mention to new MS specl. when I go in Oct. or should I chalk it off as
burning mouth syndrome alone?

I get burning sensations at the corners of my jaw, inside my mouth.  This was getting really bad before the cold sensation started on the right side of my face, so I think it was the trigeminal nerve ramping up.  I would mention it to the specialist, definitely.

I am not sure if it might be the problem with you but I get oral thrush and it has those symptoms..usually more white stuff but...you might have it checked. Also the corners of my mouth get sore.

Mine comes from different things but mostly loose dentures or meds, i just got one from my inhaler..i was suppose to rinse my mouth out with listerine after I inhale and i diidnt know why so i was not real good with doing the rinse..thought maybe it was the taste although it didnt taste bad.   The other reason for it is caused by a comprised immune system.

Well, my thought on the Dry mouth would be from medication, but not so certain
about the burning/tingling feeling.  since ive had some of that feeling for some time
prior to starting meds to treat  other sx.  Im also wondering if medication can be the
cause of the white spot.  
hmmmm.. take one med to feel better.  another problem
occurs. go figure.. just cant win here..  LOL>.

Mouth symptoms are quite common here--burning, tingling and numbness. I don't think there's such a thing as stand-alone burning mouth syndrome, so yes, you should mention it to every doc you see.

You also need to get to the bottom of the white patch. That is just not normal. I have no idea whether it's connected to the burning issue, but if it is, it's unlikely to be MS.
