i just did MRI for my daughter

the study reveals e/o abnormal hyperintense signals noted in B/L visual cortices on T2W and Flair- D?D: cortical dysplasia vs post ischemic atrophy.
E/o focal areas of hyperintensities noted in B/L frontal and temporal lobes only on T2 Flair, without restricted diffusion on DWI-concern for the cortical dysplasia.
rest of the brain are unremarkable.
there is no intra-cranial SOL, infarction or bleed
can u please explain me these

This seems to be from the 'findings' section. As non-medical people, it's easier to make sense out of the 'impressions' section.

Hi and welcome,

I'm not sure if you intended for your question to land on the MS community or not but these findings are not generally what we see if MS is a possibility, from my lay persons perspective, the findings seems to be suggesting that there 'could be' a congenital abnormality 'cortical dysplasia' but i really think you would be better off discussing these results, in relation to your daughters medical situation with her neurologist.

Cheers........JJ
