i recently had an mri and was referred to a neurolgist who has since refrred me to another..but the appt. is so far away..was hoping someone could help with the following info..my mri read:numerous scattered foci of increased flair signal are present within the periventricular and subcortical white matter bilatterally.additionally, there is a focal area of increased signal in the rostral right corpus callosum...findings are nonspecific but a demtelinating process remains a possibilty......

Your comment about being glad when you found this place is probably almost universally shared.  Certainly it's nearer universal than your MRI report, because mine only had a half dozen spots worth pointing out, evidently.

I'll repeat Lulu's welcome.  I think you'll like it here.

You're welcome.  I hope you will hang out here for a while and learn more about MS and the possibilities.  My motto is knowledge is power, and you can't know too much about this disease.

Everyone's relationship with their MS is so different - if you line up 100 MS patients, you would have 100 different variations of the disease.  Please keep that in mind as you read more and wait.   Here's hoping there is a cancellation soon for you.

My best, Lulu

Hi Coll1331, and welcome to  the MS forum.  Your MRI report sounds very similar to many others that have been found here with MS.  Has the doctor discussed that possibility with you?

Your appointment may be far away, so don't torment yourself.  Pick up the phone and call the doctor and see if you can be moved up.  Explain that you have read the report and have questions and just enough knowledge for it to be bothersome.

Our health pages contain a lot of useful information and I would recommend you start there reading about MRI's and diagnosigng MS. They are located through a yellow icon at the top right side of this page.

Welcome again and I hope you will come by often.

My best,
Lulu
