my ghost dropped again, anyone have the same

had the ghost drop by last night, sunday, while sleeping. this has happened many times over the years.

why it typically happens at night when sleeping i don't know. and no, when i finally can open my eyes i really do not see a ghost or anything, but that is what i call it for lack of a better term.

what happens is i am awakened by the disturbing feeling someone or something is holding me really tight and i can't seem to move. it feels like someone is squeezing me, holding on real tight. i try to fight it and try to scream but can't. i have a hard time breathing during these too. the acid reflux thing usually "seemingly" happens during this. i also have the sensation that my hearing is off too, or so it seems to me.

prior to these episode, if my memory serves me well, while lying there prior to falling asleep i get the back, spine spasms/jerks. last night, that is sunday, the lower back and foot had the spasm/jerk dance. so, every once in awhile, this "ghost" drops in and all i can do is ride it out. the next day i'm a little drained and tired - more than usual.

i posted this on my notes page yesterday.  thought i would toss it out here in the forum.

anyone else have these at night while sleeping? is this just some form of a MS hug during sleep? the sensation is like getting a continual mild electric shock where you can't really move or so it seems to me.

You're welcome!  I didn't read far enought to see if there's a treatment to keep that from happening; sounds pretty uncomfortable, for sure.
