question on mri

hi I have been having trouble the last few years with numbness,weakness, and trouble walking. still no answers I had a spinal tap which came back normal, I had vep test that was abnormal and mri of head and spine that were normal but my question is on the mri is said Stable appearance of a small nonenhancing lesion in the right subinsular region my question is what is that?

Hi and welcome,

IF your MRI was looking for diagnostic evidence suggestive-consistent with a neurological condition like MS, then from my understanding of MS diagostics, having a small unidentified lesion in the cerebral cortex wouldn't be what's needed.
