Lower jaw and part of the tongue is the third branch of the Trigeminal Nerve.

Oh wow. I didn't realize trigeminal neuralgia could be tooth pain, too. This explains a lot that had been going on with me a few weeks ago. All the teeth on the lower left side of my face (same place I've gotten the numbness and facial pain) started hurting like crazy. I figured I ate something that triggered it like popcorn or something, since I'd just been to the dentist for a checkup a month before and all was fine. Good to know..
First you have to have the health of the teeth verified. If the teeth are sound, then this is most likely Trigeminal Neuralgia in the second branch.
MY TN first showed up as dental pain. The numbness or loss of some sensation on that side of the face is a dead give away that this is the Trigeminal Nerve acting up. The firstline med to control this pain is carbamazepine, but docs also use gabapentin and Lyrica, plus others.
Try reading about TN on this page and taking the Diagnostic Questionaire midway down the page.

The loss of hearing is due to a different Cranial Nerve, the 8th nerve also called the Acoustic Nerve or the Vestibulo-acoustic Nerve.
