when will this end? Now eye infection??

Hi again, I just got over the antibiotics for the mouth infection I had for three weeks.... now last Friday I  woke up with a very sore right eye.  Sore when I moved it... abit swollen, reddish near my nose,  when I touched the lid it hurt like **** yu know.. I used a cold cloth to sooth the pain.  

The pain was on and off, but my eye looked swollen and couldn't open all the way.  I never felt so much pain, when the pain started it felt like I had alot of thing inside my eye...but there wasn't anything in it?

On Sat..it was still sore and we went to a walk in clinic as everything else was closed.  I saw a Dr there and he looked in my eye and and said wait hear I have to call an Opthomologist..  I told him I just wanted to know if it was Pink Eye or contagious... as we were heading to my family for Easter dinner... I waited and he returned with a Rx for Steriod Drops to put in my eye and gave my the Opthomologist name and # and said to call him on Monday.

I said I have a Neuro Opthomologist at the MS clinic I can call as well... my hubby is putting my eye drops in my right eye... so far it's helped alittle..but when  I move my eye or touch it.. it's still very sore.

I'm calling the clinic tomororow again..

I am sorry to hear of now your eye pain.  You sure have been through the ringer these days :(

Please see your ophthalmologist today.  If it is conjunctivitis (pink eye), you need some other drops, in addition to the steroid. It could be a corneal problem, "something" could have gotten in the eye, and lots more possibilities.

I hope you get there today, less us know how it goes,

Hi Wobbly. I'm so sorry you have yet another thing to deal with. You do need an ophth to take a look at this, in case it's not a neuro-ophth sort of issue.
