Facial pressure, eye spasms

For a a couple of months ive been suffering from facial pressure around my sinus area. Unlike a migraine it is something that is present all day, although it varies in severity, it sometimes is mild uncomfort, and sometimes it aggravates to either a dull pressure at night or a hard pressure similar to a painful headache. This has persisted for several months, the only medication that somewhat works on the pressure is ibuprofen gel when administered to my facial area.
The other accompanied symptom i have is constant eye spasms. I can constantly feel that my eyes and muscles around my eyes are shaking. although it also varies in severity on the course of one day. I wonder about the possibilities of what the condition i might have and what treatment i would be advised to seek. I have ruled out any eye disorder through several eye exams. A CT-scan of the brain have ruled out any tumor of some degree.

Hi, I've had similar eye pain. It feels like the muscles behind and around my eye are sore. I can even feel this especially when I'm walking or chewing. Additionally, my eyes seem to have "sunken into" their sockets, like they're deeper set. I do't know the cause; is it nerve damage? Neck or spine strain?

Good luck, A.

Dear pegasus,
Thanks a lot for posting this question.Whatever you have said points towards only one cause - Idiopathic. This means, no reason. Because all the reports are perfectly normal.
There may be slight magnesium deficiency in the diet which can be causing constant eye spasm.Beside this, we can't think of any other condition.
Just eye relaxation would help you, like ice packs on eyes occasionaly will easy out the pressure.
And please keep yourself relaxed, things will be much better.
Regards
