Aching Muscles-6 Months

Hi-I used a (used) safety razor at a golf course and cut myself. 10 Days later I had throbbing voluntary muscles throughout my body and a sinus issues. The sinus issue cleard up in two weeks, but the throbbing eased into a dull ache-particularly in my right biceps that I've had for 6 months, I was tested thoroughly for HVC (multiple antibody, PCR Qual) and HVB. All negative. My hepatologist has referred me to a neurologist saying the razor was just a coincidence.

What on Earth could be causing this chronic muscle aching please??

Thank You

Thank you for your reply Dr. I will consult with a neurolgist in LA and hope they can figure this out. With Hepatitis, West Nile, and Lyme disease ruled out (by previous testing) what other viral possibilities exist?
Thanks Again,
Dan

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi there. The aching muscles are coincidental to the razor cut injury and needs to be investigated. Most common is over stretching or overuse of muscles, viral infections, traumatic, metabolic myopathy, nutritional deficiencies or chronic fatigue syndrome. stress, certain drugs including ACE inhibitors, satins, electrolyte imbalances like too little potassium or calcium, fibromyalgia, infections like influenza, lyme disease, muscle abscess, rhabdomyolysis etc. repetitive strain injury, multiple sclerosis, withdrawal syndromes of opioids, benzodiazepines etc can also cause myalgia. Consult your neurologist for a detailed evaluation. Hope this helps. Take care.
