My adult daughter received an immunosuppressing drug for essential thrombocythemia. WBCs went critically low, and seizures began, terrible insomnia, and her dysautonomia is worse. Cannot nap during the daytime any more. Neurologist ordered 96-hr. EEG to do at home. I suspect a chronic CNS infection but how to get her neurologist to rule that out? Would like her to get a lumbar puncture (yes, it has risks, but getting sicker daily is risky too). So the usual CNS infection they treat is an acute one... I had read articles about chronic low-grade ones, too. HELP
