Hello,
:::::AGE 29, MALE, No Diabetes or known illnesses before all this, do not drink, never tried recreational drugs::::
This is the story of what has occured to in the last 2-3 months of my life. In early March I began to have these rather odd vertical headaches(they hurt very badly, right side of forehead, sinus areas etc, walking, sitting up, standing) alongside constant buzzing in my ears, a feeling that I could not hold my neck up(I had to lean forward, to the sides, backwards etc) and a bit of weakness in my right leg and an odd crackling noise in my neck each time i turned my head. I visited my GP and advised him, he said its just stress, take Tylenol for the headaches. As the weeks progressed these feelings didn't go away but new things started occuring, tingling sensation in my right foot, and a odd muscle cramp in my right leg calf muscle. My GP then prescribed me Wellbrutin XL for anxiety as he felt this as the issue. I went to a walk in for as second opinion, the DR. there prescribed me Serc and suggested that this was all related to benign positional vertigo so I took those.
My GP kept insisting that this was all in my head, then I started having chest pains. I went to ER and an ECG was performed and some abnormal things were note by the RN that performed the test, yet the DR. that looked at stated it was ok. Next day I advised my GP of this and he then redid the test and stated that it was abnormal, wrote me an ER referral and gave me an aspirin and sent me on my way to the same ER again. My symptoms were dismissed by the ER physician and he referred me to an internist. The internist conducted some blood tests(6 vials were taken) and some x-rays of my lungs to rull out any respitory issues. That all came back normal.
A few days after that (into may now) i had noticed that I was producing less saliva, less eye lubricant(constant dry burning eyes) and that I started losing some sensation to pain, heat slowly from the right leg and then all over my body including my face. My mouth, lips, ears, face, head etc all have lost these sensations (ie i can pluck a nose hair without feeling anything, pluck beard hair etc). I now have reduced sense of taste along these things, my limbs all feel loose and I cannot walk for along period of time without feeling extremly tired. I have also noticed that I am not making my usual bowel movements, the sensation to go is dimished and it surely doesn't feel the same on the way out, nor do I feel the same urgency to urinate and have reduced sensation there as well. My penis seems more flaccid and erections are difficult as my glans seems desensitized and my testicles and scrotum appear to be shrinking and desensitized as well. My ejaculation seems decreased and not as forcefull, As well I generally feel cool alot and am not perspiring as I used to(very little or none at all).
I have seen 2 neurologists, that did some basic testing and and a nerve conductivity test done that was apparently normal. I am at a loss its almost as where to go, what to do, etc. Some of the Dr's think that I'm sniffing some cheap stuff and this is all in my head. I feel that I have wasted so much time and that this now maybe a permanent condition or worst.
Does this sound like a combo of sensory / autonomic neuropathy? Is there any hope? Please help.
P.S. I hit my head in late January rather hard and I suggested this to my Dr as a possible cause, noting a dent on my forehead that wasn't there before. He said no, a physician who is a sister of a friend suggested this all may have been caused do to a concussion.
