I have had pain in my neck and right shoulder which is not limited to one specific area, but radiates from all angles of the scapula (above, below and both sides). Additionally, my last 2 fingers of my left hand are numb. The symptoms have been present for about 4 years and have become increasingly worse (to an almost consistent level of 6-10, even after sleep). Through this I HAVE retained complete range of motion.
Additionally, I have some secondary and additional areas of consistent pain (sacral, trochanter hip, legs). BUT the pain in these areas is not dehabilitating.
Currently I am losing strength in my left arm, and my right shoulder pain is so severe I can no longer hold a book up to read without pain. I have been to my primary care physician, 3 chiropractors, and a physical therapist. Still no answer as to what is wrong. Though I have recieved a few varying educated guesses including thoracic outlet syndrome, ankylosing spondylosis, and fibromyalgia.
What is known to be a fact (using x-rays) is that I have some small bone spurs in my spinal column, and that I have several ribs (1st and last) that keep slipping out of place for some strange reason. My primary care physician states that the spurs would not produce all of the symptoms that I currently have.
I realize you cannot diagnose without exam, however...has anyone ever encountered this odd range of symptoms? Right now I feel like a guinea pig that's being dragged through test after test still to have no answer.
