Benign MS?

Four years ago I had double vision for two weeks after it was over I needed glasses. A first in 40 years. Since then I have had a whole host of unusual symptoms, such as bladder outlet spasms, electric zapping in my legs, involuntary thumb twitches, difficulty concentrating, or finding words, etc. The worst issue is what I call "episodes" where I have a sudden bout of profound fatigue accompanied by horrible nausea with all the other symptoms.  Four years ago I had at least one episode a year. This year I have already had 3 episodes. It can last about two weeks, then I slowly return to baseline. I have had MRIs, an EEG, and LP (4 years ago) all negative. Is it possible to still have benign MS without positive tests?
My other question is, I recently had a near syncopal event and the ED doc ordered a "D-dimer" to see if this was cardiac in nature. The D-dimer was 30 points above normal, but cardiac issues were ruled out. I researched + D-dimers and discovered that D-dimers can also be elevated in conditions were there is systemic inflammation. Have you ever heard of people with MS having + D-dimers (non-cardiac caused)?
Thank you for your time.

Thank you for taking the time to respond.
One last question,
is it possible to have benign MS  with negative MRIs?
and what else could cause the D-dimer to be elevated? Is it something I should persue with a hematologist?

Hello chickenlady5,
Definite diagnosis  of MS cannot be made until other disease processes have been ruled out.. The diagnosis of MS is more of clinical .

Also, evaluation of Cerebrospinal fluid is recommended for the diagnosis of inflammatory conditions. You should  undergo a repeat LP and consult your neurologist regarding the definite diagnosis Elevated .D-dimer ususlly has no relation with multiple sclerosis.
