Cause of severe leg and foot cramps a year after back surgery
I am suffering from extreme leg and foot cramps at night. A year ago I had back surgery (Laminotomy (Hemilaminectomy), Decompression of Nerve Roots, Partial Facectotomy, Foraminotomy And/or Disc Removal, Lumbar
Notes: Minimal access, left sided L5-S1 hemilaminotomy, mesial facetectomy, foraminotomy and microdiskectomy ) copied from my records. For the past couple of months I have been having similar symptoms to the ones prior to surgery. Lower back pain, the sciatica pain under my buttocks, the numbness and tingling down my leg and now, VERY painful leg and foot cramps at night. They can be as little as a toe cramp, a charley horse, all to way to cramping and pulling my foot all the way inward or outward. The cramps are now journeying up my leg to my hamstrings. Is this normal?
