Back in 2014, I was holding up the trunk of a car (it was a '98 Dodge Intrepid, which have SUPER heavy metal trunks) while getting out groceries. My hand slipped and the trunk slammed down full force on my head and knocked me down into my driveway. The trunk hit the top right of my forehead. I didn't lose consciousness but I'm nearly certain I had a concussion because that night, I woke up vomiting and had a horrific headache.
This was six years ago, yet to this day I still have a bump, the skin on top of the bump is yellowish/brownish, and I experience localized pain every now and again. Nothing in particular seems to bring it on.
Does anyone have an educated guess as to why I still have a discolored bump and, more importantly, why I still experience pain every now and again in the specific area the trunk landed on my head?
I, of course, plan to see a professional about this but since it takes time to get in to see a specialist, I figured I'd see what others think in the meantime. I'm not asking for medical advice. I'm just wondering if anyone might know anything about this.
Thank you in advance!
