Forgetting steps while climbing the stairs

Hi there,

I wonder if any one can help please.

I am having problems for a while (a couple of years - I am 31 years old now) while climbing the stairs. I tend to to forget which step i should put my foot on while climbing up the stairs. Mostly this happens while climbing up. Coming down is relatively ok. Moreover my memory is getting weaker day by day. I am wondering if this is some sort of degenerative disease involving motor neuron or something else to be sorted. I suffer from minor stuttering/stammering.

Please feel free to ask any questions.
