Help me Pls, Skull Indentation ruining my life

Im 22 years old male. I have a skull depression on the left side of my head towards the top edge of the head(parietal region). I got it from a forceps delivery. The sad part is that because of it, I believe the volume of my brain in that part was hindered(less space to develop). But nobody will believe me!! Everybody thinks that I am just looking too much into stuff. I got a CT scan which clearly shows the difference in the volumes of the left part and right in the plane of the "dent". Its effect I can feel in real life, Im slower in writing than my classmates, Im weaker in mental calculations, I have speech problems. But the Doctors labeled my condition as normal.... even the CT scan. I dont know what to do!! I feel like killing myself! coz nobody will even believe me!!! Not even my parents ! And the worst part is that the depression is over the left parietal region(angular gyrus+supramarginal gyrus) which is instrumental in writing, math, speech!! How could this just be a co-incidence!?? Pls somebody help me!

You just spoke my mind. Im taking the next week off. Going for a little vacation on the beach-side away from the electronic world. Hope that helps me clear my mind. Thanks again.

Good, I hope it helps.  I do think you are going to drive yourself nuts, but I get it.  promise yourself you will only check online about your concern for maybe an hour a day or one day a week.  I would suggest walking away for a week and see how you feel.  You are probably feeding your anxiety!

Yes Im gonna fix an appointment with a SLP soon :-) Thanks for the advice.

Do you think anxiety/stress could be causing these problems?
I have been a nervous wreck for a year now... :\ I keep reading articles/med journals/blogs/forums to get a definitive answer..the answers/conclusions I get are mixed. Some say the brain is malleable and adapts wonderfully to external moulding...while some say that even the slightest unnatural skull forces can affect the brain adversely. What I have on my skull is the result of a "ping-pong" fracture. Again most articles wont give a definitive answer on that. I wish I could go back in time and change that..its frustrating to think that all my problems could have been easily averted. I also realise that things could be worse and while Im thankful for that..I want to compete in this world on a level playing field, like a normal person. I dont want anything to affect that and my capabilities. Especially something as common as speaking.

that is why I suggested a speech evaluation from speech pathologist to help you with your language concern! Can't fix the depression so gotta find a way to fix the speech problem.

Do you guys think that a depression on only one side of the skull would mess up the brain symmetry?

Read this article to see what I mean
http://cercor.oxfordjournals.org/content/11/9/868.full

The left angular gyrus and other language-crucial parts of the brain are asymmetric and larger in the left hemisphere. Could the depression in my skull have somehow disrupted this? I really feel like this could have been avoided had my dent been elevated as a kid...simple procedure actually. Now what do I do. Ive visited a neurologist who didnt find anything abnormal. They just check for the vitals..dont bother about the smaller things and details. As long I look normal they dont seem to entertain patient doubts...so frustrating!

I still recommend a full speech evaluation.  It might give you some valuable info.

Thanks for your suggestion.
But I dont get them very often now..maybe once in 40-50days. And the severity has lessened. They used to be frequent in my late teens..growing pains??
Also my speech really bothers me nowadays. Ive become so conscious!! Feel like I will blackout at times. I read up on apraxia of speech and I feel like the symptoms are similar. I mess up my words, make substitutions, omissions of syllables, anticipatory errors and the errors are irregular. But the thing is that apraxia can either be developmental or acquired. I used to speak well as a child. My first embarrassing memory when I messed up my speech was when I was 12yrs old. I guess till then speech is more or less developed so I can rule out developmental apraxia(right??) Acquired is due to a head injury, stroke or TBI. I havent had any but I wonder if the skull depression has anything to do with it? I know Im probably obsessing but that is just the way my mind works.. I analyse too much!!

Sorry I am not competent to read a CT scan. If you still get migraines, here is something that helped me. At the first suggestion I was getting one I would drink a cup of very strong coffee. That would abort it. But once the headache was was there, it wouldn't work.

Thanks for your replies allmymarbles and littlebit667. Puts me a little at ease. Though I still worry sometimes especially when I have to speak. The speaking problem began in my teenage though, I used to be a happy kid *sigh* But as I grew I guess the brain didnt adjust as well..I also used to suffer from left sided(same side as the indent) migraine type headaches in my late teens, whose origins where unfounded.
Heres a link to my CT scan pls have a look at it and comment

the brain is very malleable and adjusts to the head shape.  I agree with allmymarbles.  I am very sharp, but math is not my long suit.  You are very articulate in writing...some do better there than in speaking the same thing.  If you feel the speech problem exists, then perhaps you should get a speech evaluation from a speech therapist.  They can either tell you all is well or help you improve your speech thru therapy.  Killing oneself is pretty extreme.  There are those out there with much worse conditions that persevere daily and are glad they are able to do that.  Perhaps you are over thinking all of this and need to take a deep breathe and look at it from another angle.  I hope you can find some peace in this.

Please note that you are very articulate. That would indicate that there is nothing wrong with your speech. As for the math, you may just be naturally poor in math. So is my daughter.
