How serious are the results of my MRI?

My MRI states the following and I need help knowing what I can do for treatment and what exactly it is:
1. Bilateral L5 spondylolysis (pars interacrticularis defects) and grade I, 2 mm anterolisthesis of L5 on S1.
2. Diffuse disc bulge with a 4 mm disc protrusion at L5-S1 which together with listhesis at this level results in moderate bilateral neuroforaminal narrowing.
3. Mild facet arthropathy at L5-S1.
4. Disc desiccation with mild disc height loss at L5-S1.

Hi!

You have L5-S1 disc desiccation or drying up of the disc, which is a degenerative change that cannot be halted. Its progression can be slowed with adequate management. Disc protrusion at the same place can be conservatively managed and with treatment can slip back into original space. Also the foramen or hole through which the nerves pass is narrowed causing compression on the nerves.
Usually for disc prolapsed and desiccation and neural foramen narrowing caused by disc prolapse, conservative treatments like hot and cold compress, stretching exercises, back low impact exercises, deep tissue massage, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and epidural injections are tried. If everything fails then laminectomy and other spine surgeries may be contemplated. Please consult your doctor regarding this. Take care!

The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you. The advice may not be completely correct for you as the doctor cannot examine you and does not know your complete medical history. Hence this reply to your post should only be considered as a guiding line and you must consult your doctor at the earliest for your medical problem.

I also want to note that I am 15 and got this injury through basketball and boxing. I have had this pain for a long time now so time has not proven beneficial for healing. Thanks
