Iris color change during seizure

My 3 y/o daughter had a petit mal seizure.  During the event, her body was completely still, skin coloration was gray, and she did not blink.  Her iris color is normally brown, but both iris changed to a brilliant blue during the event.  Eye color returned to normal when she came out of the seizure (approx 2 minutes later).  Her neurologist is scheduling her for testing, but he is not familiar with eye color change during a seizure.  Is anyone familiar with why this would occur?  (I had witnesses to the event so I know I'm not crazy)

Wow I thought I was seeing things......I'm African American and my 3 yr old daughters eyes are brown and they turned gray.  We will go to Children's Hospital for testing and I'm going to definitely ask about this. I'm glad my faith in God is strong or I might have just lost it.

I am experiencing this problem with my 6 month old son, his eyes are changing blue during a seizure.  Did you ever find an answer as to why this happened or what it means?

My 9 mo old daughter had a localized seizure (just the left side of her body) that lasted 10 minutes.  My husband mentioned that, during the seizure, her blue eyes turned almost white, but he could still see her pupils, which did not appear enlarged.  So, no, I don't think you're crazy, either.  We have been trying to research this, but can't find much on it.  Has your daughter's neurologist come across anything through testing?  I'd be interested to pass it on to my daughter's neurologist.
Good luck and take care.
