I have been experiencing severe head ache occurring only during sleeping (more specifically dreaming). During that time, the pressure in my head keeps growing till one point where I feel my head nerves are going to rupture out and burst out my head. But suddenly it drops down and I remain normal through out the day as if nothing had happened to me when I was asleep.
Key points:
(1) It has been happening to me for the last 5 years.
(2) This happens to me only when I am asleep.
(3) Frequency is sometimes 2-3 times a sleep, sometimes 1 week, sometimes 1 month and sometimes for every 3 months.
(4) Most of the times, it gets triggered when I am dreaming in sleep and when I become insecure in the dream (like dreaming something fearsome)
(5) One recent observation is that it had stopped for about 6 months and suddenly came one night and is repeating at faster intervals.
(6) During that 'attack' on my head, I can think (like praying to God for help, wanting to move hands, wanting to shout out loud). But unfortunately, I cannot move my hands or legs but I can just think.
(7) Even if I want to press my own hand and try to press it using another hand, actually I think that I am pressing but I actually press some other thing like legs. That I usually come to know after the attack is over.
(8) The actual attack lasts for about 10 seconds (max). I guess it cannot be held longer.
(9) One observation is that, in majority of the cases when this event had occurred, I was putting my legs in folded -up manner. (Though this might be just co-incidence)
**Please help me get rid of this kind of headache. I hope no one should suffer this kind of head ache in their lifetime.**
