Is lhermittes sign only related to MS

Im a 39 yr old female. About 2 months ago i got this weird sensation when i bend my neck down its like a vibrating feeling in my lower back that goes into my legs and left hand. Its worse when i get up in the morning and when im doing any physical activity. It lessens sometimes but never goes away. My doctor thinks it could be a trapped nerve and suggested some exercises but i am not convinced. Its very worrying. I was a long time alcoholic and started b12 supplements and some of my burning and tingling has resided but the lhermittes sign is still persistent. im worried about MS and was wondering even if i dont have a family history of it whats the chances of me getting it and is this symptom only related to MS? I have no other MS symptoms
