Is this MS - Fibromyalgia or Migraine headache

I had a closed head injury back in 91.  Have since had several medical problems.  I have been tested and have Fibromyalgia.  I get migraine headaches all the time.  On a recent MRI this is what the findings were.  Can you tell me what you think this means.
Findings from the MRI report -
there is no evidence of intracranial mass, hydrocephalus, or midline shift.  There are a few scattered foci of increased T2 signal in the periventricular white matter of both frontal lobes.
There is a single focus of increased T2 signal within the left temporal lobe.  There foci are of questionable significcance in this patient.  Differential diagnosis includes early small vessel ischemic disease versus multiple Sclerosis.
THIS is what they said in their conclusion:
1.  There is no evidence of intracranial mass, hydrocephalus, or midline shift.
2.  Scattred foci or increased T2 signal in the periventricular whitle matter of both frontal lobes and one focus within the left temporal lobe.  Differential diagnosis includes early small vessel ischemic disease versus MS.
3.  Post contrast images are unremarkable.

Can you please give me your interuptation of this.  My internist says it could be from the fibromyalgia and/or the migraine headaches.  I didn't no either one gave you brain damage???
My doctor says that the test for MS is so painful that we may want to just wait and see what happens.  He will do the test if I feel I want to proceed with it.  I'm not a fan of needles - so of course, if there isn't harm in waiting I guess I might prefer to wait.
What do you think? THANKS

Hi hugger,

Like you I also have fibro and I also get migraines. I had an MRI in '94 that showed the nonspecific scattered foci. My diagnosis was small vessel disease. The neurologist at the time thought it was due to my history of migraines. However, I've had 2 more MRIs since then and they failed to disclosed any small vessel disease...the white spots are gone evidently!!  It's all a mystery to me but I'm not complaining. Oh, I still end up wearing 2 different color socks and forget my keys sometimes but I chalk it all to fibro fog and meno.  LOL

i had an mri and the findings are anumber of small foci of increased t2 signal in the subcortical white matter of the left frontal lobe which are nonspecific.  what does this mean and is there something to worry about or not. is this normal and if not how did i get whatever this is.

somone who worries to much.

No I have not had a recent C-spine MRI - this was just an MRI of my head.  I have had the other MRI's in the past and they didn't show anything.  Not until this more recent MRI where they just did my head.

I'm sorry I don't know what this means -
There are evoked potentals,not painful
Can you please explain.
THANK YOU

You should see a neurologist.

A lumbar puncture is not all that bad. There are evoked potentals, not painful.Has your Dr done a c-spine MRI.

With MS the earlier the treatment, the better.
