Hi, my daughter has spina bifida occulta with tethered cord syndrome.  She had surgery to release her spinal cord in january this year, she is doing great.  She is 1 and has just started to walk :)

Many doctors she was seen by dismissed the dimple into her spine as 'nothing much' - an MRI scan ordered by the fantastic neurosurgeon Neil Buxton at Alder Hey childrens Hospital revealed otherwise.  This condition could have effected her legs , feet or bowels/bladder if it remained undiagnosed.
