Loss of consciousness after chiropractic adjustment

I started seeing a chiropractor last week (March 1) for headaches and back and neck pain. I've had about 3 adjustments with 1 of the 2 chiropractors at the office I go to. The very 1st time I was adjusted, he only adjusted one side of my neck. The next time was the other side. Then both sides. Along with a mid/upper back and pelvis adjustment along with every neck adjustment. I've also done physical therapy as instructed by the chiropractors with the physical therapist they have at the office. There is some minor soreness later in the day, but mostly subsided by the next day and I would feel much better.
I went yesterday and was seen by the other chiropractor in the office after my physical therapy session. She adjusted a lot more than I've ever had been before. Most of my back, pelvis, and both sides of my neck. There was a lot more cracking sounds in my neck than usual. I got very light-headed, dizzy, my ears went fuzzy feeling and it was a little difficult to hear properly, I felt a little nauseous, and got VERY sweaty. I told the chiropractor and then just laid back down on the table to avoid passing out. If I wouldn't have laid back down, I know I would have passed out. Luckily, the chiropractor was quick to act, calling in the nurse practitioner and they gave me cold water and an ice pack. The both stayed with me while I laid there waiting for the feeling to pass, checking my heart rate and blood pressure (heart rate was slightly elevated, blood pressure was normal).
I've done some research and I think I've made myself a nervous wreck. I see all these articles about people having strokes after having their necks adjusted. There are a few articles from chiropractors about feeling dizzy is normal as your body is releasing the toxins after the adjustment. But I really don't think that was the case.
I feel ok now (the day after), just a little sore, but in areas that I worked on with the physical therapist, not where the adjustments were.
Should I be worried? Should I see a medical doctor? Obviously I am going to voice my concerns to the chiropractor on my next appointment, but I wonder if I should ever consider continuing with chiropractic care.
